We met in a small bar through a mutual friend, who had invited him along for a drink. From the very first minute, something simply clicked. Our first conversation flowed effortlessly — from political views and Middle Eastern history to the Arab Spring — deep, thoughtful topics that somehow felt easy between us. Even when he left early that night to go home and do his laundry, I remember smiling to myself, thinking I had just met a truly responsible man.

That evening ended without exchanged numbers, and I assumed our paths would quietly drift apart. But a week later, while checking forgotten messages on Facebook, I found a note from him asking for my number. What I thought was disinterest was, in fact, the beginning of something meaningful.

As time passed, love grew in the small, unspoken moments. He loved that I could be serious and playful at the same time. I loved how he made me feel safe, grounded, and at home — even far from my own, in the diaspora. One cold night, when I came home to find my pajamas and socks gently warmed on the heater, I knew: Olle is my person.

Through uncertain times, our relationship grew stronger through honesty, open communication, and a promise we still keep — to never go to sleep upset or angry with one another. What started as a chance meeting during a strange moment in the world became a love built on care, respect, and quiet devotion.

And now, here we are — choosing each other, always.
